Amen Brother

This link to an article in today's New York Times makes an excellent point. The time has come to end the Department of Agriculture and replace it with the Department of Food.

Excellent piece. We should be encouraged that these issues are getting broader attention.
Barren County is perfectly situated to act NOW on food.
Think globally(or nationally) and ACT LOCALLY.

I always love telling people the lobbyist I hate the most are corn lobbyist. Ethanol is pointless. High Fructose Corn Syrup is only cheaper then sugar due to tax payers absorbing the initial cost.

Also been warning people the economy will only get worse and to make friends with farmers.
